corporation.

Specifically the registered company number, the trading names under

which the corporation trades, the last date accounts where

submitted and the full list of directors including secretary.

Dear Rev Dawson

I am writing in response to your email of 12 December 2010 in which you

made the following request:

Please supply details regarding Kirklees Borough Council being a

corporation.

Specifically the registered company number, the trading names under which

the corporation trades, the last date accounts where submitted and the

full list of directors including secretary.

Kirklees Council is not a limited company, it is a local authority created

by the Local Government Act 1972 and associated secondary legislation.

Accordingly it does not have a registered name, company number, directors

or company secretary. Its accounting procedures are governed by local

government legislation and not companies legislation. Accordingly the

Council does not hold the information which you have requested.

Deadline met, but the response did not meet my requirements.

In another FOI Kirklees state that they ARE a corporation in mine they state they are NOT a Ltd Company.
